It is Czech Republic's turn to rule the European Union. I am sure many EU workers are very unhappy about this.
Apparently many Czechs feel they don;t have much information about this whole thing. So our gregarious hillbilly PM Topolanek polygamist came up with a solution - a spot that containts one message - which is extremely difficult to translate - literally:" We will add sugar to the EU." Play with words - one is slightly threatening (meaning: we will make your life harder), one is playful - it is going to be sweet, my friends and thirdly, some say our representation will be like a sugar cube that melts quickly in the tea.
Also, did you know sugar cubes were a Czech invention? I totally did not.
I don;t understand this spot. I like it - it has some pretty or interesting faces but I just don't see the point. 2 sportsmen, 1 model, 1 ballet dancer, 1 scientist and someone else...Most of them don't live in the CZ anymore.
Well, eurobureaucrats, let's get used to it - there was never much logic in the Czech lands.

Hiking to Zlaty Chlum

In four days we walked a total of about 40k. Oh yes, I do miss it.

The breaks were necessary and always welcome.

Once we walked to the future…I mean to check out the windmills and Ostruzna’s creepy cemetery.

I think only 2% of Czech households have a dryer…(I read it somewhere a long time ago but it seems about right.)
But soon it was time to pack again and jump on the train…
