Telc

Having more than three months of free time? Not bad. Normally I get very nervous after two weeks of doing "not much" but it seems this summer has a lot going for me so I will see. It is the sad truth I blog mostly when I am frustrated. Usually I don't feel any need to blog when I feel I am actually living my life or fun/interesting things are happening.
I feel not ready to embrace the European 5 weeks' vacation time nor the American horrifying standards of two (three?:) weeks. However, that is not important now. Maybe my resolution for the summer should be not to think too much as I occasionally over-analyse things (especially those concerning me) and that creates too many questions, too many doubts, too many answers.
I lost count of days. I had to think at least three times today whether it is tuesday or Wednesday. Tomorrow I am seeing my future ex-classmates in the Alohabar. Sweet.
This weekend I visited the family in Vysocina, in my opinion the most gorgeous region in CZ this time of year. Beautiful forrests, never-ending greenery, tall grass, breathtaking sunsetting light, blossoming trees, rolling hills...I got to pick cherries, blueberries, black currant, green peas, strawberries...My uncle smoked the chicken and it was great. The air was different and fresh....Ahhhhhh, las vacaciones.
The following day we visited Telc which is one of favourite little towns. Maybe because I was there quite a few times in the summer before. This quaint little town belongs to the heritage of UNESCO and it is not just the Renaissance house that are worth seeing. All around are parks, forests and ponds where you can bike or row. Or enjoy the fish specialties in the local restaurants.
The town went back in time, or at least some of the locals:
I must say I was jealous of their bikes as it reminded me of those sweet days I commuted to school on bike (not that I would be complaining, now I just walk:).
The local chateau had the birds on exhibition. It was quite as the guy in charge was really keen on sharing his interesting stories.

This owl was my favourite as she (I consider owls of feminine gender maybe b/c they are so wise?:) looked so unreal...
