Brno Hantec

I have grown fond of Brno. So I will not pour here the frustrations have due to school or dealings with idiots from Brno foreign police (searching for a job? definitely apply, only illiterates and idiots work there so everyone has a chance...No, seriously I wanted to say everyone must be "better" than Brno foreign police staff).
So this a joooke in Brno hantec, Brno language, jee, because we don't like those kemos from Praha.:))))
Unfortunately, impossible to translate.

V Brně pije chlápek vodu z kašny. Přijde k němu brňák a povídá: "Tý, kémo, nechlemté tu vasrůvku z tej atajnkaserne, blejó doteho zkalené machři a chčijó do teho morgoši!"

Anyway, exam time...Hard, hard times these days...

So I said as an example, in Spanish class, to my male classmate (while having some imaginary conversation to practise some grammar): " Si no me entiendes, voy a quitarte..." Of course, me intermediate and proud I helped myself with English (to quit - to leave somebody, se quitter, so in Spanish it must be "quitarse"...). I get these strange looks and I say:" Guys, what you don't understand! It is perfectly clear...If you don't listen, I am leaving."
Well, apparently not. Apparently "quitarse" means to strip someone of their clothes.

"If you don't listen, I will strip you."

Yikes.

If the heaven is not like Lake Como, I don't wanna go there...

You know that urgent feeling, that greed and ultimate hunger to try out everything? To try every cookie, every ice cream, every fish, see every place, ride all kind of bikes? Well, I know you have to realize you can never do everything but the truth is...the grass is really greener at Lake Como!!!!!:)))

April vacations are the greatest thing - a wonderful way to resource yourself after winter. So the destination was Italy. I was in Italy three times but it was those lame vacations spent lying on the beach of the not too clean sea.
This time the destination was Venezia and Lake Como. Venezia was OK, full of tourists, I enjoy walking through the town and trying local specialties such as squid in black ink at Vedova's near Ca d'Oro, local fruit and vegetable market, gelatos, merenga italiana, gondolas, vaporettos...But the "history" tourism is not for me. It really bores me. I catch myself wanting to be interested so bad but it does not work.
If I spoke Italian, I know where I would move...:)

On the other way, Lake Como was a heaven...No tourists whatsoever, breathtaking views, friendly locals (the seasons was just starting...:), flowers in bloom, amazing colours, amazing food...And the sea? Who cares about the sean and ocean...Lakes are the best not just because they feel more natural to me, a land-locked but they are calming, beautiful and more pleasant to swim in.

The best thing about Italy? Probably food...and colours...
While there, I was reading Eat, Pray and Love by Liz Gilbert. I am glad to rediscover I can still stay up until 3:30 if the books really interests me...Yes, I was totally "destroyed" the following day but I could not help it...:) Now I am waiting for her next book while dreaming I will visit Bali one day:)
